With a season that's been filled with nothing short of disappointment for the struggling Milwaukee Bucks, there's a chance at some future hope. With the team looking to secure it's spot at the top of the draft board with the finalization of the disappointing season, there have been talks about Bucks current owner Senator Herb Kohl, is looking for new investors to help keep the team in Wisconsin. Which have made there way to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
With the Bucks lease being up after the 2017 season, Kohl is looking for help. Currently no offer has been officially talked about between the team and former Milwaukee Buck Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Kareem has said "if he received a call he would offer his services". But Kohl has reached out to Junior Bridgewater about becoming a future investor. Bridgewater also a former Bucks player played 10 of his 12 seasons in Milwaukee. If Bridgewater bought into the Bucks he would have to sell his share in the Sacramento Kings.
With Milwaukee currently being rated at the bottom, and the absolute bottom with a value just over $450 million, Milwaukee could be a nice start for Kareem and Bridgewater to get their chance at a real fixer upper. With both being former players for Milwaukee they have an idea of what the city already wants from them.
Along with Kareem and Bridgewater possibly becoming a future owners, it could be a good sign for fans around the city and as well as the state. Bringing in new faces in the big picture could help with getting a new stadium which the Bucks so desperately need.
Kareem knows about winning. During his career as a Buck, Kareem led the Bucks to their one championship during the 1970-71 season. And is also the teams all time leading scorer with 14,211 points. Bridgewater himself holds the record for games played in a Bucks uniform with 711.
You could say both players know a thing or two about drive and commitment to winning games. To me that looks like a recipe for future success, along with getting the first pick in the draft and the hopes that come along for a new stadium, leaves hope for a future franchise that catches a second breath and gives it's fans something smile about instead of frown about.
